Join the ultimate New Zealand wilderness sea kayaking adventure – 5 days / 4 nights exploring Dusky and Breaksea Sounds at the heart of Fiordland National Park.
There are wonderful secluded waterways and islands to explore. This multi-day kayaking expedition offers a challenge at all levels and an experience of a lifetime.
This 5 day kayak trip is assisted by the Breaksea Girl, an overnight vessel. Each day is spent exploring the shoreline by sea kayak, returning to the comfort of our support vessel for evening meals and accommodation.
Dusky Sound Trip includes -
- Sea kayaking, wildlife viewing and walks ashore
- Helicopter transfers and accommodation on board the motor-sailor Breaksea Girl
- Highly experienced kayak guide (carries group safety and emergency equipment) and two person crew
- Top quality sea kayaking equipment (double kayaks) and kayaking clothing if required
Minimum Requirements
- Previous paddling experience necessary
- Competence in water, moderate fitness and stamina are essential (a great attitude and sense of humour help)
- Minimum age of 18 years
Enviromental Issues in Dusky Sound.
Clients who kayak Dusky Sound will be contributing in a small but significant way to supporting many conservation projects such as predator control for the endangered blue duck, and native bat, and Fiordland Coastal Cleanup.
